What is SILVA?

SILVA Card Back Card Back
Kukunochi Kukunochi
Sword Maiden Sword Maiden
Brewer Brewer
SILVA is a card game for 2 to 4 players.
Each game takes only 2 to 10 minutes, so it's quick and fun!

There are 11 types of cards, 18 in total (+ 2 rule cards).
Try to guess your opponents' cards and eliminate them while protecting yourself. The last player standing wins!
1

Setting Up the Game

1. Remove "Young Kukunochi" (No.0) from the deck. Shuffle the remaining 17 cards well and place them face-down to form the "Draw Pile".

Draw Pile Draw Pile Draw Pile

Young Kukunochi Rebirth Card (sideways)
2. Place "Young Kukunochi" sideways next to the draw pile. This is the "Rebirth Card".

3. Each player draws 1 card from the top of the draw pile. This is your hand — only you can see it!

4. Decide who goes first! Rock-paper-scissors works great. Play proceeds clockwise.

Hint: Shuffle the cards really well so the game is fair and fun!

What You Do on Your Turn

On your turn, do these 4 things in order:

1. Draw 1 card from the draw pile
→ Now you have 2 cards in your hand.
Original hand Your hand
+
Draw from pile Draw from pile
Hand A
Hand B Now you have 2!
2. Choose 1 card to play face-up
→ Show the card to everyone.
Hand Keep (hand)
Play card Play! (face-up)
3. You MUST use the card's ability
→ Every card has a special power. We'll explain them later!

4. Place the used card in your discard area
→ Line them up from left to right.

Important! You MUST use the card's ability when you play it. You can't say "never mind"!

3

What is "Elimination"?

If you're knocked out by a card's ability, you're "Eliminated" = Game Over for you!

Warrior's ability Hit by opponent's ability...
Show hand Reveal hand & eliminated
When eliminated, show your hand to everyone and place it in your discard area.
Then just watch the rest of the game!

Remember: When an opponent's ability forces you to discard a card, that card's ability does NOT activate. Abilities only work when you play the card yourself on your turn!

4

How to Win

The game ends in one of these 3 ways:

1. The draw pile runs out
→ All remaining players reveal their hands. The player with the highest number wins! If tied, it's a draw.
No.10 No.10
VS
No.6 No.6
No.10 wins!
2. Last player standing
→ If everyone else is eliminated, you win!

3. All players eliminated at once
→ If everyone gets knocked out at the same time, it's a draw.

Card Guide

Here are all 11 types of cards!

Young Kukunochi

Young Kukunochi

No.0 1 card (Rebirth Card)
Ability: Photosynthesis
This is a special card that normally has no ability.

It only joins your hand when Kukunochi (No.10) is revived — that's why it's called the "Rebirth Card".
Place it sideways next to the draw pile at the start of the game.

When the draw pile runs out and players compare numbers, this card beats Spirit (No.8) only — a special rule!

Tip: This is Kukunochi's revival token. You can't draw it from the deck during the game.

Boy

Boy

No.1 2 cards
Ability: Revolution
When the 1st Boy is played: Nothing happens.

When the 2nd Boy appears: It gains the same ability as Sword Maiden (No.9)!
That means you can make an opponent draw 1 card, reveal both cards in their hand, and choose 1 to discard.

The number is the lowest, but when both Boys appear, it becomes super powerful!

Tip: The weakest number, but the 2nd one packs a huge punch! A slow starter that blooms late.

Trainee

Trainee

No.2 2 cards
Ability: Charge
Pick an opponent and guess the name of the card in their hand.

If you're right, they're eliminated!
If you're wrong, nothing happens.

It's a gamble, but if you use Scout to peek at their hand first, you can guess perfectly!

Tip: Scout (No.3) + Trainee (No.2) = the ultimate combo! Peek first, then guess for a guaranteed elimination!

Scout

Scout

No.3 2 cards
Ability: Reconnaissance
Pick an opponent and secretly peek at their hand.

But beware! You're not allowed to tell anyone else what you saw.
Use the secret info to plan your next move wisely!

Tip: Knowing your opponent's card makes it much easier to decide what to do next!

Warrior

Warrior

No.4 2 cards
Ability: Combat
Pick an opponent and make them draw 1 card from the draw pile.
Then, without seeing their hand, name a card number and force them to discard it if they have it.

Since you can't see their hand, it's all about intuition and reading your opponents!

Tip: Try to guess what card your opponent might have. If you're right, big damage!

Brewer

Brewer

No.5 1 card
Ability: Brewing
Pick an opponent and both of you reveal your hands.
The player with the lower number is eliminated!
If the numbers are the same, both players are eliminated!

It's a duel card — use it when you're sure your hand is stronger!

Tip: Use this when your hand has a high number. If it's low, you'll be the one eliminated!

Masu Craftsman

Masu Craftsman

No.6 2 cards
Ability: Craft / Guardian
When the 1st one is played: Nothing happens.

When the 2nd one is played: Say "FOMUS" to summon the Guardian Masu!
You get a barrier that blocks elimination once. Even if you're about to be knocked out, you survive one time!

Tip: If you can play the 2nd one, you get insurance against one elimination. A great safety net!

Farmer

Farmer

No.7 2 cards
Ability: Cultivate / Harvest
This card lets you choose which card to draw!

1st Farmer played: Next turn, look at the top 2 cards of the draw pile and pick 1.
2nd Farmer played: Look at the top 3 cards and pick 1! Return the rest to the pile.

Tip: Great for getting the card you want. Aim for powerful cards!

Spirit

Spirit

No.8 2 cards
Ability: Telepathy
Pick an opponent and swap your hands completely.

If your hand is weak, you might get a strong card from your opponent! You can also give them a bad card.

Tip: Use this when your hand is weak for a chance at a big comeback!

Sword Maiden

Sword Maiden

No.9 1 card
Ability: Flash Strike
Pick an opponent and make them draw 1 card, then reveal both cards in their hand.
You get to choose 1 card for them to discard!

This is the only card that can truly defeat Kukunochi (No.10). It's Kukunochi's biggest fear!

Tip: The only card that can permanently eliminate Kukunochi. Use it wisely!

Kukunochi

Kukunochi

No.10 1 card
Ability: Regeneration
The strongest card in the game (the final boss!).

You can't play it on your turn, but keeping it in your hand gives you a huge advantage since it has the highest number.

If an opponent's ability forces you to discard it, you're eliminated.
BUT, if you're knocked out by any card OTHER than Sword Maiden, you discard your hand and draw the "Rebirth Card" (Young Kukunochi) to come back to life!

Tip: Keep this in your hand as long as you can. If the game goes to a number comparison, you'll almost certainly win!
